Sophie Duda is a Detroit-based artist with something to prove.

Sophie is currently a sophomore at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She is studying Graphic Design as an Honors student. She loves all mediums, but she especially focuses on photography and collage in her personal work.

Sophie just can’t create without incorporating an almost inexpressible nostalgia for another place and time, whether it be through film grain, sepia tones, or 1980s pixel typefaces. Her loves for words, controlled chaos, artistic experimentation, and color balancing permeate all aspects of her creative life.

Sophie has spent her whole life consuming and creating media, and she doesn’t intend to stop any time soon. She has the goal of becoming a full-time graphic designer in her future, a goal supplemented by seemingly constant attempts to explain her inner musings through design.
