Sophie Duda is a Detroit-based artist with something to prove.

Sophie is currently a sophomore at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She is studying Graphic Design with a minor in business. She is an Honors student. She loves all mediums, but she especially focuses on photography and collage in her personal work.

Sophie is also involved in a collaborative art blog called Carousel Thirteen. She runs the blog’s TikTok and Instagram, designs graphics for its website, and submits self-written articles. The blog has over 2,000 collective followers.

Sophie just can’t create without incorporating an almost inexpressible nostalgia for another place and time, whether it be through film grain, sepia tones, or 1980s pixel typefaces.

SOPHIE LOVES: controlled chaos, Helvetica, mood boards, cutting her own hair, ‘90s movies, taking photos of her friends, plaid, story-based video games, her film camera.
